It’s more than a hotel with a spa. This historic house in the centre of Aix les Bains in Savoie has just been completely redesigned and renovated, preserving its original Belle Époque style. Built in 1863, it was reborn in the summer of 2023 to offer a unique, personalised setting in Savoie, right in the heart of the Alps.

In the spirit of a private hotel or guest house, each room or suite is unique and personalised. The 3rd and especially the 4th floors offer uninterrupted views over the roofs of the city and the valley, facing the nearby mountains – in short, a magnificent panoramic view.

The private spa is reserved for you and accessible during your stay. In this real cocoon, enjoy the swimming pool with its massaging jets, jacuzzi and sauna. Choose from the spa’s menu of treatments, created in partnership with local wellness professionals, and enjoy a massage either in your hotel room (layout permitting) or in our massage area, located like the spa in the Longère de la Maison.
In the French art of living, gourmet food is one of the ingredients of a successful romantic holiday. Take a seat at our LEO-PAUL restaurant. Chef Gilles BLONAY and his team offer generous, gourmet gourmet cuisine. The decor is reminiscent of the history of the place, with arches, mouldings, old-fashioned mirrors and the warmth and elegance of the parquet flooring. The service is present and discreet.
The M. CHARLES lounge bar offers a fine menu of cocktails and a selection of regional products from charcuterie and cheese to snails, coffee and liqueurs. This elegant, cosy venue is welcoming at any time of day. It’s an alternative for your meals, with brasserie formulas at lunchtime as well as platters and tapas for lunch and dinner. And when the weather’s fine, there’s the alternative of another world, unique in the city centre: sit on the terrace of Les JARDINS de MELINA, in the shade of the greenery.
The JARDINS de MELINA offer a rare, intimate “inside-outside” experience. Situated in the centre of the house, in complete privacy from the surrounding streets, here you are as lovers enjoying the moment. In both the summer garden and the winter garden, you’ll enjoy the warmth of the surroundings and the pleasure of enjoying the privilege of private gardens. You’ll enjoy these restful spots during the day and in the evening. From here, the night is romantic, magical and soothing. You’re far away from the city and everyday life. The stars are visible, as if offered as a gift. On the terrace, the open-air summer garden reveals the Milky Way through the magnolia, maple and ivy trees. The ceiling of the conservatory, with its large glass opening in the roof, reveals the stars while allowing you to relax in the comfort of the soft armchairs in front of the fireplace. You’ll definitely want to take time out to sit in one of the gardens and enjoy the moment. This is also where breakfasts are served.
Accessible from the winter garden, the smoking room offers enthusiasts a dandy setting borrowed from the English style and warmth provided by the fireplace.

You’ll be able to discover Lac du Bourget and the surrounding region, not forgetting the Canal de Savières and the village of Chanaz, which link the lake and the Rhône. Let yourself be tempted by tastings at wine estates and fruit orchards.
Several mountains surround the large Lac du Bourget and from their easily accessible summits, the view of the lake and the forests is constantly renewed.
Why not also explore the surrounding Alpine towns, including historic Chambéry and Mont Revard. Or Annecy, its old town and château, along the shores of Lake Annecy and through the Bauges Natural Park with its mountains, waterfalls and forests.
Higher up, the mountains, with their walks through woods and meadows and the discovery of little mountain chalets and mountain lakes.
The local produce is delicious: lake and river fish, charcuterie and, of course, cheese. But there are also some excellent chocolate makers and coffee roasters. Winegrowing and farming estates offering excellent fruit juices and jams… Famous Savoy cake and Saint Genix with praline… The gastronomic delights are great, and the range is varied! The producers are committed to offering the very best.
